Artist statement:

I find the concepts of identity and belonging to be urgent. I have always been obsessed with how and where I fit in the world. I still am. Contextualizing my childhood crisis of who I am meant to be, in the capitalistic, spiritual, and physical senses, are all things I cannot articulate through the spoken word alone. It is through visuals that I work out my thoughts and fears. I look to use as many materials and mediums to showcase my vision: actors on sets, animations, collages, archival footage. I believe films should emphasize the personal in order to appeal to the universal. That is what I do through the art I make, whatever its ultimate form.
